Double program

You are invited to take part in a conference on Québec film, and in particular, the film-making process from financing to the theatre. Topics covered are the steps involved in making live-action feature-length films in Quebec, and the various roles of those working in the film industry. Hosted by Éric Perron, Editor-in-Chief at Ciné-Bulle magazine.

We also invite you to take a look at the wide variety of film productions created and directed by young people under 20. For a ninth year, Télé-Québec is joining the Carrousel to offer this activity. The jury will award the prizes for best short films in the elementary, secondary, and post-secondary categories.

Exhibition

Once again this year, the Carrousel called upon young minds to create the Festival poster. Under the theme " Of Cinema GIANTS", youth were invited to submit their drawings as part of a contest launched in schools and daycares across the province.  Come discover the results of the contest, along with the show put on by a giant puppet and the Dame de Coeur theatre company. 

Everyone is invited for the screening Friday, September 24th, at 5 pm.

For the Little Ones 

For the Little Ones

A grand event for the little ones at the Festival!  As host of the weekend morning screenings, Atchoum the clown will entertain the crowd before the show!  On Sunday October 2nd, Atchoum will even present her own movie, Atchoum en cavale, and signs autographs after the screening.  Includes fun activities, face painting and many more surprises!

Saturday October 1st from 9:00 to 10:30 AM and Sunday, from 9:00 to 11:45 AM

All through the week  visiting film professionals will meet groups of students in the schools in Rimouski and the region as well as the public after the screening of their film.  Continue the discussion the Café Zoom.
